Child safety standards
Last updated: October 10, 2026
Talkoa has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including grooming, sextortion, sexualised content involving anyone under 18, and any attempt to contact a child for sexual purposes. Anyone who does this is suspended, with the suspension kept against their phone so a new account or a reinstall does not lift it, and reported to the authorities.
Talkoa is for adults only
You must be 18 or older to use Talkoa. The app asks for your date of birth before your first call and does not let anyone younger continue. If we learn that someone under 18 is using Talkoa, we close their access.
How to report a concern
During a call, or for 30 minutes after it, tap Report and choose They seem under 18 or the reason that fits. The call ends at once, the two of you are never matched again, and the report goes to our review queue with reports about minors reviewed first.
You can also email support@talkoa.com at any time. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police first.
What we do
When we find or are told about child sexual abuse material or exploitation on Talkoa, we suspend the account, keep the records the law requires, and report it to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and, for Canada, to Cybertip.ca, as well as to law enforcement where required. We cooperate with lawful requests from police and child protection agencies.
Contact for child safety
Our designated contact for child safety matters, including notices from Google Play and authorities, is support@talkoa.com.
Talkoa is operated by Inayah Tech Solutions Inc., Ontario, Canada. These standards follow the laws of Canada and of the countries where Talkoa is available.
